Giveaways

Giveaways collect viewers into an entry list and let you roll a winner. Use them for raffles, viewer rewards, event giveaways, and point-cost entries.

Create a giveaway

Open Giveaways in the Kicklet dashboard and create a new giveaway.

The giveaway overview is split into active giveaways and archived giveaways. Active giveaways can be opened, monitored, and ended. Archived giveaways stay available for review after they are finished.

Kicklet supports two entry modes:

Entry typeUse when
Active usersEveryone currently considered active in chat should be eligible.
KeywordViewers should enter by sending a specific keyword in chat.

You can also configure:

SettingDescription
KeywordThe chat keyword used for keyword entries.
Inactivity timeoutRemoves or expires entries after the configured inactive period.
CostsPoint cost for entering the giveaway.
Winner messageOptional chat message sent when a winner is rolled or rerolled.

Enable Announce the winner in chat when Kicklet should send a chat message after rolling or rerolling. The create dialog shows a preview of the winner message before saving.

The number of active giveaways depends on your account limits.

Manage entries

Open an active giveaway to follow it live. The detail page shows entry count, winner count, entry cost, the current entries table, the winners table, giveaway settings, and an embedded chat view.

The entries table shows viewers that entered the giveaway. You can search entries, delete individual entries, reset active entries, clear winner entries, or clear the full list.

Entries can also be exported as CSV. The export can include timestamps when you need an audit trail or want to process the list externally.

Roll and reroll

Use Roll to select a winner from the active entry list. The winner is marked in the giveaway and, if the winner message is enabled, Kicklet sends the configured message to chat.

Use Reroll when you need to replace the current winner. Kicklet clears the previous winner state, rolls a new entry, and sends the winner message again if it is enabled.

Winner messages can use template context. The selected viewer is available as winner.

@{{winner}} has won the giveaway!

winner is the winner username string. Use {{winner}} directly in the winner message.

End a giveaway

Stop a giveaway when it is finished. Ended giveaways keep their data for review, but entries can no longer be added, deleted, cleared, rolled, or rerolled.
